Cordate Heart-shaped, having two equal, rounded lobes

Lutescent Turning yellow with age.

Rugose Wrinkled, any leaf surface with uneven surface features. This includes dimpled, puckered, pursed, embossed, ruffled, pleated, wrinkled, and crinkled leaf surfaces.

Rugulate Wrinkled; a slightly Rugose surface.

Scape The stem of the inflorescence bearing a number of flowers in the upper part called a raceme, which see. Usually a leafless stem but in the genus frequently furnished with amplexicaul or foliaceous bracts.

Shining Having a smooth, even, very shiny surface.

Spiral Twisted, spiral as the placement of leaves emerging from the rhizome.

Stellate Star-shaped, arranged in a star shape around a common axis.

Stoloniferous Characterizing a root stock, which sends out horizontal stems, often far reaching, for which new and independent plants arise.

Striate Striated, marked with stria, fine linear markings, streaks, or grooves.

Undulate Wavy, either the leaf margin or the entire leaf is wavy.

Viridescent Turning green with age.
