Botanical Name: Miscanthus sinensis 'Graziella'

Common Name: Maiden Grass Graziella

Latin: Miscanthus (mis-KAN-thus) sinensis (sin-EN-sis)

Description: Warm season grass with fine, slender, 1/4" wide foliage and upright, arching form. Large, bronze to white plumes appear in mid to late August (early for a Miscanthus) high above the foliage. Prefers moist, rich, well drained soil in full sun. This plant is one of the best for northern climates because of its early pluming characteristic.
