Latin: Miscanthus (mis-KAN-thus) sinensis (sin-EN-sis)

Description: A new compact selection. One of the smallest Miscanthus. Thin, dark green, fine textured foliage is 3/16" wide with a good red-bronze fall color. Foliage is held somewhat horizontally arching, giving the plant a bamboo-like appearance. Dark red-brown plume appear late August and are held about 1' above the foliage. An excellent selection for the small garden.
