Latin: Saccharum (sa-KAR-rum) ravennae (ra-VEN-nay)

Description: Previously named Erianthus ravennae, it is one of the tallest grasses hardy above zone 6. In fall large beige feather duster like plumes rise to 14 feet dwarfing the 5 foot tall foliage. Mature clumps may number as many as 50 of these plumes!!!
