In January of 2000, we thought that we had found 'the land'.  It was about 8 miles from our current home.  It also required moving from our town and enrolling our 4 children in a new school district.  To make a long story short with details that would just bore you, we were heartbroken to find out in the middle of July 200 (that right, July!) that the land acquisition would not be possible.  We had be praying that the may details would be sorted out and resolved, but it did not come to be.  (Purchasing farmland in our area is extremely difficult.)

Depressed, I came home from work that Friday.  There was a letter on the table from a woman that had been at my May open house several months earlier.  She explained that she had intended to give us her daughters business card but had none on her person when we was at our open house.  Her daughter just happened to be a realtor.  No!  Could this be that special little miracle from the Lord to let you know that yes, I am concerned about your every need?

We called Melissa immediately.  By Saturday we had several properties FAXed to us.  We immediately gathered up the troops and went land hunting.  We could not believe it, one property was just 2.5 miles away.  It was located in the same town and school district.  It looked perfect.  However, because of the issue with zone and farmland acquisition, we had to wait to talk with the county zoning officials on Monday.   Everything checked!  We had a bid issued on Monday night and the contract accepted on Tuesday!

Important Spiritual Lesson: It is OK to pray for the wrong thing.  When you pray you are seeking God's will.  God will make those  minor adjustments to keep you on track.  In this case,  He allowed us to be consumed for 7 months with the acquisition of the wrong land to allow for this property to come on the market.
