Our first greenhouse (18x48 foot) was built in the fall of 1998. It had hardware to fully roll up one complete side to a height of
5 1/2 feet to increase ventilation. Air
circulating fans were also added which continually keep the air mixed affording
a warming 'floor' and drier healthier plants.
This greenhouse was sold along with our old residence in August 2002.
Please see our retail information for
descriptions of our current greenhouses.
| Here is the greenhouse dressed in it's spring production outfit. The
double wall clear poly covering is inflated which prevents wind fluttering. The winter
outfit (not shown) adds another layer of white poly to keep out the sun to provide a more stable
winter environment. In summer, all plastic is replaced with 50% shade cloth for
hosta storage. |

| Here is an inside shot showing some plant production as of 03/21/1999.
As you can see on the left, some folks are going to get some pretty big hostas for
their order! |

| Being a tool man, I have got to show off the heater. It is a Modine
'Hot Dawg' furnace providing 75,000 BTU. It can keep a 70 degree differential
between inside and outside air. |
